I LOVE THE LORD, LOVE MUSIC. SIMPLICITY IS KEY

PRAYER REQUEST

I’M TAKING THE COMPASS TEST (MATH PLACEMENT TEST FOR COLLEGE) TODAY.

To die to self means to die to human traits that cause us to stumble: deny sin, excuses, blame, self-pity, self-will, rebellion, complaining, reputation, injustice, guilt, wrong words, ungodly thoughts.

God is DOPE

I have been reading this book called blue like jazz by donald miller. As I read this book a couple things God made apparent to me. One of them being love people for who they are. Now as cliche as that sounds it really hit home for me. Christians as a whole have been classified as a condemning and hypocritical group that only loves people for who they can be after they give their life to the Lord. I know for me personally I want to break this stereotype starting with myself. Now it’s not like I’m all high’n mighty and I can immediately become this fountain of genuine love for everyone I meet with my will alone. Thats impossible I’m human and my natural tendencies are to sin. All I have to do surrender myself to the Lord because I know if I wanted to lead my life it would only be for selfish gain. Slowly but surely as I put my trust in God, I see him altering my perspective, opening my eyes to the beauty of each person I meet and know. I love it. Thank you god. May your will be first in my life at all times.

No, we don’t always feel like worshiping, but think about this, you have air in your lungs, your heart is pumping blood, your kidneys are filtering tons of deadly poisons out of your blood. We have every reason to worship and not just those six songs on Sunday. Worship is our lives.
